Hours: Full-time (37.5 hours Monday to Friday), Permanent. (You are expected to be flexible with these hours to suit business needs, for example during events.)

About the role
As Technical Project Manager you will support the Production team by managing all aspects of a project from the initial brief to the onsite delivery of the event.
You will be assigned events in which you will take a lead role. You will take ownership of ‘how’ we are going to deliver the project during the pre-production phase. Onsite you will have sole responsibility for ensuring the project is built to plan, on time and safely.
You will work on all aspects of event production from virtual, hybrid, live shows, installations and showcases with B2B and B2C audiences.
You will work with the production team to provide technical specifications across sound, video, lighting, scenic and staging. You will develop quotes, schedules and technical equipment lists. You will closely work with the event producers to remain within budget whilst maintaining all safety and quality requirements.
You will be the main point of contact for the technical and scenic crew during the rig and derig phases of the event. Managing on-site teams and suppliers to ensure Stagestruck standards are maintained by internal and third-party suppliers.
You will be expected to work on small to medium scale projects and assist with large scale projects, relative to the size of projects Stagestruck has at the time.
Your duties will include:
- Lead and take responsibility for all aspects of the project within pre-production and delivery of the project onsite.
- Effective communication with internal teams, external suppliers and freelancers to secure the successful delivery of the project.
- Work closely with the Producer to ensure the clients requirements and expectations are met and surpassed.
- Understand the technical equipment which is required for your projects, how the technical system works and create equipment lists detailing all the equipment required for site.
- Collaborate on budgets to ensure the profitability of the project.
- Create detailed and realistic Production schedules.
- Create bespoke risk assessments and method statements that reflect the work we will undertake and ensure that it can be done safely. Onsite you will be accountable for the health and safety of the whole crew and ensuring that all staff adhere to the risk assessment and method statement.
- Manage the onsite crew to ensure they are following the event design.
- Be agile & proactively bring solutions to problems by being able to pre-empt and rectify issues calmly and quickly.
- Lead site visits to ensure we capture all relevant information.
- Work with the design department to ensure that the project is feasible within the space, time and limitations of the venue.
- Draw technical elements of the project within Vectorworks.
- Ensure that all crew have the necessary skills, qualifications and experience necessary for them to carry out their duties onsite.
- Assist with RFPs and RFQs
- Travel to client/event locations as required, including international travel.
- All other tasks as instructed by your line manager.
There are no direct reports with this role but you will be responsible for all personnel onsite during the rig, show and derig. You will also be expected to assist with the development of assistant members in your team.

Experience and qualifications
- Previous technical experience in a relevant technical event-based field is essential (lighting, audio or video for example).
- A background in corporate events is desirable.
- Experience with H&S relating to project management is desirable.
- A knowledge of Vectorworks is preferred but not essential.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365 products.
- Full UK driving license, own transport and current passport required due to the nature of our business.
We actively encourage ongoing skills development and will support with both on and offsite training courses and qualifications. You must ensure you are continually maintaining and developing a good level of knowledge in your field. You will be required to identify and contribute to your own training plans. This is in addition to the mandatory training that is completed by all Technical Project Managers.
